The stabbing incident took place at the Wolphaertsbocht in South Rotterdam. The victim was taken to hospital but did not survive.
The 22-year-old suspect was arrested a short time later. The Rotterdammer is active as a soldier. That is why the Marechaussee is conducting an investigation.
