NEW YORK – The New York City Police Department is looking for a man suspected of robbing a fruit seller in Washington Heights on Thursday.
Authorities released surveillance footage of the robbery on Friday, which took place around 4am outside 400 Fort Washington Ave.
The 23-year-old victim was selling fruit when she was approached by an unidentified man who wielded a black firearm while begging for money. The seller handed over $ 130 in cash, as the attacker fled to an unknown destination on a black and blue bicycle.
No injuries were reported after the robbery, according to police.
33 District officials released surveillance videos and photos of the man, with part of the crime being seen in the video above.
