Suspect Breaks into Queens Residences to Steal Primarily Cash – NBC New York

Authorities are looking for the man suspected of breaking into at least three residences in a section of Queens to rob, New York City Police said. In all cases the alleged thief has made off with cash, a total of more than $20,000.

Burglaries have been reported this month in the East Elmhurst neighborhood, two of them in apartments located on the same corner, at 95th Street and Astoria Boulevard.

The first incident occurred on February 4, when the suspect entered the apartment located in the area of ​​​​96th Street and 25th Avenue. Upon entering, the police report says, he took jewelry and about $700 in cash.

The second case occurred four days later at a residence located at 95th Street and Astoria Boulevard. On this occasion, the uniformed officer said, the suspect took a Samsung cell phone valued at about $500 and $82 in cash.

The most recent case was reported on February 10, also in a building located at 95th Street and Astoria Boulevard. The suspected thief stole several electronics, credit cards and about $20,000 in cash, police said.

No injuries were reported in any of the robberies.

The suspect is described as a man in his 30s and was last seen wearing a green sweater, a black jacket, light pants and black and white sneakers.
