Suspect Arrested in Pennsylvania Raping Twins, Assaulting 2 Manhattan Police Officers – NBC New York

A 22-year-old man who allegedly attacked two police officers in Manhattan and bit one when they tried to handcuff him a day ago, was captured Wednesday in Yonkers, authorities said. The suspect will be taken to Pennsylvania where he faces sex crime charges in connection with the rape of 4-year-old twin boys.

Isaiah Metz, also known as Decklyn McBride, had an outstanding warrant for his arrest in Pennsylvania that was issued late last month charging him with multiple counts each of allegedly raping a child under the age of 13, deviant sexual intercourse involuntary with a child and aggravated indecent assault, among other crimes

Metz also faces 100 counts of child sexual abuse, a warrant for which was issued March 30 in Pennsylvania. He is expected to be extradited to Keystone State to face those charges shortly and he also has to deal with attacks by law enforcement officers on the record in New York City, authorities said.

The two police officers were working with the Regional Fugitive Task Force in Manhattan on Tuesday when they saw Metz at a shelter in West 30th Street around 4:15 a.m. and attempted to take him into custody on two outstanding warrants in Pennsylvania, authorities said.

Cops say he resisted those efforts, allegedly hitting both officers in the head multiple times and biting one on the arm before fleeing. It was unclear how authorities tracked Metz to Yonkers, but that’s where he was caught Wednesday.

The officers he allegedly attacked in New York City were treated at a hospital and released. They are expected to be well.

Information on a possible attorney for Metz was not immediately available.
