Suspect Arrested for Leaving Woman Unconscious to Rap Her Inside Bronx Building – NBC New York

A 34-year-old Bronx man has been arrested on attempted murder and rape charges after allegedly strangling a woman and rendering her unconscious in a building.

Jason Dickerson is the suspect accused of violently attacking the 27-year-old woman in a building in the mid-afternoon of March 11. Police said he was arrested on Tuesday.

The woman was violently attacked and raped Friday afternoon inside an apartment building in the Bronx. The suspect performed the act after choking her unconscious.

The uniformed said that the violation occurred around 2:30 pm in a building located in Davidson Avenue and West 190th Street on Fordham Manor.

The man allegedly grabbed the 27-year-old woman by the neck and suffocated her until she lost consciousness, police said. He then raped her and fled the area.

Authorities said the woman also suffered cuts to her nose and mouth. She was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Multiple cameras captured footage of the alleged rapist wearing a black hoodie and carrying a red and black backpack.

It was not immediately clear if Dickerson had an attorney.
