NEW YORK – Police have arrested the man allegedly responsible for violently kicking a woman in the chest and causing her to fall down an escalator at a Brooklyn subway station, authorities said.
Bradley Hill was arrested Friday night and charged with battery and attempted battery. for the incident that was captured on surveillance footage on September 9. He did not respond to journalists’ questions as the police took him out of the station in handcuffs.
In the video, 32-year-old Hill is seen walking up the escalators at the Barclays Center. The video shows him turning around to kick the victim in the chest, then knocking her down the narrow steps.
The victim said it all started with a hit.
“There was someone who brushed past me, pushed me to the side and it was that man and I said very quickly, ‘excuse me'”, said the woman to our sister chain NBC New York At the beginning of the week.
That’s when the man exploded, according to the woman, kicking her in the chest sending her 20 feet down the escalator. He suffered an ankle injury, as well as bruises and cuts on his body, police said.
“I’m lucky I’m not dead or unconscious, but it could happen to someone who runs into him,” the woman said.
