mSuryalal, a native of Idukki Kattappana and an artist, has done a dual performance in films in Layalam and Tamil simultaneously. The Tamil film Kutrapinnani directed by NP Ismail and the Malayalam film Suryalal directed by Abhilash S and directed by Abhilash S were released simultaneously. In these two films, Suryalal is in a special type of costume. Suryalal appeared in two different roles as a taxi driver in Kottayam and a jeep driver in Idukki in the Malayalam film Kriya Karmam while playing the lead role in the Tamil film Kutrapinani.
Suryal entered the acting field through drama. He was active in the field of theater since his studies. He was selected as the best actor in the Idukki District School Art Festival and Kerala Festival. At the 2013 National and International Drama Festival, he played the lead role in Darshana’s Vadhudayusade Kili directed by Naripatta Raju and in 2023 in the play Thotavar Yudhman, written by EJ Joseph and won acclaim. Suriyalal’s first film was the Bharat Mammootty starrer Achchadin, directed by G Marthandan.
So far she has acted in Malayalam films like Cuban Colony, A for Apple, Konna Pookum Vum Mambazhavum, Levya 20:10, Niyogam and Tamil films like Kadthalkaran, Kutrapinnani and Yossi. Suryalal is also an accomplished entertainer who has acted in many short films and commercials. He has also worked as a commercial announcer at Akashvani Devikulam Nilayam. Suryalal, an active media artist, is also an online media host. Shyama’s wife is an anchor and a teacher at Kattapana Private School. The son is Ahan Surya, a student of class 4.
