monitoring detikcom in the Corruption Crime Room at the Central Jakarta District Court, Thursday (23/2/2023), Surya Darmadi initially entered the courtroom from a side door. He then approached the media and threw away a number of papers.
It is not yet known what paper Surya threw away. Surya Darmadi’s emotions seemed out of control.
While being taken to the defendant’s chair by the security forces, Surya Darmadi conveyed his complaint. There was a judicial issue in August 2022 that was brought up by Surya Darmadi.
“Please share that I was forced to withdraw from the trial last year in August,” he said.
Surya Darmadi still looks emotional. He continued to throw out a number of protest sentences.
“If you don’t take part in the trial, it’s all over. That’s evidence from the court, if the trial is today, I’m not ginithe same aja like a death sentence,” he said.
Surya Darmadi Charged with Lifetime Imprisonment
This case ensnare Surya Darmadi as a defendant in the PT Duta Palma oil palm corruption case. Surya Dharmadi sentenced to life imprisonment and fined Rp. 1 billion subsidiary 6 months in prison.
“Declaring Defendant Surya Darmadi legally and convincingly guilty of jointly committing the crime of corruption and money laundering as stipulated and punishable by crime in the first primary indictment,” said the public prosecutor at the Tipikor Court, Central Jakarta, Monday (6/2) .
“To sentence Defendant Surya Darmadi to prison with life imprisonment and a fine of Rp. 1 billion, a substitution of imprisonment for 6 months,” he added.
