Katie Piper was a model and flaunted on the covers of glossy magazines. She could conquer the fashion catwalks of the whole world, but one meeting turned the girl’s life upside down. Kathy met wrestler Danny Lynch. At first he seemed like a nice guy to her, so she agreed to go on a weekend trip with him.

On the trip, he forced the girl to intimacy, and then began to threaten to kill if she let it out. A few days later, he called her to a meeting to supposedly apologize. But when Cathy arrived at the appointed place, Lynch’s accomplice doused her with sulfuric acid.
For almost two weeks, the girl was in a coma, and there was no living place left from her face. She was blind in one eye and lost her eyelids and nose. Doctors performed more than 40 operations, transplanted artificial skin to the girl and restored her face. The tragedy did not break Katie – today she helps women who have suffered from violence, and even again goes to the podium at charity shows. A few years ago, the girl married an ordinary carpenter and gave birth to his daughter.
Lynch received two life sentences for his crime, but Kathy still can’t think of him calmly. In ordinary life, she hides burn scars under heavy makeup, and only without it can you see how badly the girl suffered.
