Surviving the Ambrosia Allergy: My Journey to Find Relief

It was not available in our clinic. I was referred by a general practitioner to the hospital for an appointment with a specialist. Now you still need to survive in line with grandmothers and evil aunts.

The summer has gone by like it never happened. August has become more relevant for me than ever, thanks to the active flowering of ambrosia. I live in the Rostov region, and this muck is not removed anywhere in our country.

I can’t say that they don’t fight at all with a harmful weed. But there is too much ambrosia in the south. She is everywhere. And I, as luck would have it, discovered an allergy a month ago.

At first I thought I had a cold. Until now, after all, viruses are walking around the world not to understand what. And I decided that at work I grabbed something similar.

My wife treated with chamomile, then linden, made an explosive mixture of ginger, honey and lemon. It was impossible to eat! But I wanted to get rid of the incessant runny nose and tearing of the eyes as soon as possible.

I drank the standard set of pills I take for colds and flu. Didn’t help a damn thing.

At work, no one would have forgiven me for sick leave, so I had to plow as before. The buying season has begun in our company, so we need to work with the whole staff. But I realized that my strength was becoming less and less.

I don’t like to go to doctors. First, I don’t trust them. It seems that now there are no more specialists, but some kind of traders among the medical staff.

Secondly, I hoped that this muck would somehow pass by itself. It’s been exactly a month since I first felt unwell.

My nose continues to flow in a stream, my eyes swim in a stream of tears, plus my whole face began to itch, as if I were hugging a parsnip or a backache.

A colleague in the shop suspected I had an allergy. He says that his mother suffers during the period of late summer and early autumn from the flowering of ragweed and the symptoms are exactly the same as mine.

I wanted to get information from him about how she is being treated, so as not to go to the doctor myself, but my friend does not know. He says that each treatment is individual, and I still need to take tests to find out the causes of my rhinitis.

In the district clinic, as always, do not sign up. And there is no power to endure further itching on the face and a waterfall from the nose and eyes. I gathered my courage and went to the clinic without a queue.

I had hope that people would show me sympathy and skip the line. However, the miracle did not happen. And I began to try to slip into a regular consultation as best I could.

The queue was long: half by appointment, the rest “just ask”. At the moment when I wanted to sneak into the doorway, an evil woman crushed my leg with her hairpin. So much so that I felt numbness in the area of u200bu200btwo fingers.

I got myself a referral to an allergist. But besides him, I now need to visit a traumatologist and check my toes. They turned blue and swollen, and stepping on them is extremely painful.

Wish me good luck!
