In her first media appearance after the difficult health crisis she went through, artist Maram Al Balushi spoke about the details of her health condition and the difficult stage of her illness, which she described as a very painful period.
The Kuwaiti artist revealed during her hosting on the “Kalam Nawaem” program that her illness period began with a angina pectoris in 2019 and ended with a lung infection, as a result of which she was transferred to intensive care to receive treatment.
She pointed out that “the pressure of work and the great effort she was making in the series ‘Cairo Batch’ in 2019 gave her a sudden heart attack. Despite this, she resumed her work and filmed her scenes in the series on the eighth day of her illness, because work is a trust.”
She added: “In 2020, I was infected with the Corona virus more than once, and this caused me to miss the first performances of my play and negatively affected my health as a result of my allergic asthma… I cannot describe the pain that I was feeling.”
Maram explained that she suffers from several hereditary diseases due to the relationship between her parents, saying: “I have had asthma since I was 14 years old, in addition to lung and blood vessel problems.” She continued: “My last health crisis was caused by water accumulating in the lung, due to my neglect of my health and failure to undergo regular medical examinations because I was constantly busy with my family and my work. During that period, I was feeling indescribable pain, and my pain doubled when I saw my children and family’s sadness over me.”
