The results of a survey by a teachers’ organization showed that 87% of teachers responded that they felt the emotion of ‘anger’ in connection with the case where a teacher was found dead at an elementary school in Seocho-gu, Seoul.
The National Teachers and Education Workers Union held a press conference in front of the National Assembly on the morning of the 25th and announced the results of the survey conducted from the 22nd to yesterday (24th).

Regarding the support experienced when parents complained, ‘support from fellow teachers’ (65.2%) was the highest, but ‘I did not receive any help’ (28.6%) was second.
As for measures to protect parents from abuse of power and malicious complaints, the rate of ‘strengthening punishment for perpetrators, such as legalization of compulsory reporting of violations of school authority to the superintendent of education’ (63.9%) was the highest.
