It will take place from August 21 to 25, in order to assess the proportion of children who are up to date with their vaccinations and find out the reasons for not vaccinating.
In the coming weeks, it is planned to carry out a “Survey on regular schedule vaccines” in the city of Fernando de la Mora and will be in charge of the first cohort of trainees from the Field Epidemiology Training Program (PEEC) – Intermediate Level, of the General Directorate of Health Surveillance.
The activity will take place from August 21 to 25, with random house-to-house visits.
The proportion of children under 5 years of age in this area of the country who are vaccinated with the doses corresponding to the regular vaccination scheme will be evaluated. Thus, the reasons for non-vaccination of those infants who are not up to date with their vaccines will also be known.
With this survey, it is expected to collect precise information to address the problem related to low vaccination coverage, establish new strategies and reorient existing ones to increase the level of vaccination coverage in children.
The interviewers will be duly identified, carrying a credential from the Ministry of Health.
It is important that parents or guardians have the children’s vaccination card available at the time of the survey.
