Survey: 90 percent of Apple employees want to be able to work remotely

An internal survey at Apple shows that the clear majority of the company’s employees want the opportunity to work remotely in the future, reports The Verge.

The survey will be conducted in June and of the 1749 respondents, almost 90 percent said that they “strongly agree” with the statement that “place-flexible job opportunities are a very important issue for me”.

About 58.5 percent of respondents also said they were worried that colleagues would leave their jobs due to inflexible working conditions. About 36.7 percent said they were worried they would leave the company for the same reason.

The results of the survey will be sent to both Apple’s CEO Tim Cook and Apple’s HR Manager Deirdre O’Brien on June 14.

In June, Tim Cook said Apple employees starting in September will begin returning to the office three days a week.
