The majority or 64% of the population supports Latvia’s involvement in the production of vaccines against Covid-19, according to a survey conducted by the research company Kantar TNS.
Among them, more than half or already 57% have indicated that Latvia should be involved in the production of vaccines against Covid-19, using the resources available in the country – pharmaceutical laboratories, equipment and personnel.
On the other hand, almost a tenth – 9% – have indicated that a new pharmaceutical plant should be built.
One-fifth – 20% of the population believe that Latvia should not be involved in the production of vaccines against Covid-19, while 16% of the population do not have a specific opinion on this issue.
The Kantar study was conducted by surveying 800 people throughout Latvia via the Internet.
