Surveillance Unit intervenes in Nancy building, target flees through balconies and is caught by police

Officials from the Surveillance and Interpellation Unit (USI), police officers specializing in the search and arrest of convicted individuals and having to make a judgment, intervened Friday morning in a building in the René-II district, in Nancy.

The ICU sleuths had lodged their target at his girlfriend’s apartment on the 3rd floor. After forcing the door, the officials were greeted by the young woman while the target, she fled through the window of the accommodation by climbing the balconies to try to reach the ground cows.

A risky scenario but which is not exceptional in the presence of individuals ready to take all the risks to avoid going through prison. The fugitive was to serve a four-month prison sentence.

The police sprinted to the ground floor to pick up the stuntman as soon as he set foot on the ground, but in view of the reception committee, the 30-year-old jumped from the 1st floor and landed on his back. Stunned? Nay! He got up, took his legs around his neck with the police launched at his tail. Taking refuge in a copse, he was finally arrested. After the balconies, the prison? No. In any case, not immediately. The man was released and will be summoned later.
