Surprisingly, Apple unveils two new iPads and the launch date of iPadOS 16 – Business AM

As suggested by the closure of Apple’s online store, two new devices have appeared; the iPad Pro M2 and the iPad 10. At the same time, Apple also announced the launch date of iPadOS 16, the new version of the operating system dedicated to its tablets.

IPad owners only have a few more days to wait to take advantage of the new features introduced by iPadOS 16. The update will be launched on October 24 and will bring with it several new features.

As for those who were hoping for updates from Apple’s tablets, they should be content. The Apple company has in fact unveiled two new tablets, one of which is equipped with the latest generation chip developed by Apple, the M2.

iPad Pro M2

Like what it did last year with the M1, Apple is updating its high-end tablet by incorporating its new generation of processors, the M2. And this is certainly the biggest news of this new iPad Pro. This is enough to increase the performance of the tablet intended for professional use.

Apple also promises a 15% performance increase over the iPad Pro M1. The tablet is equipped with an 8-core processor and a 10-core GPU. Enough to deliver up to 35% faster graphics performance than the older generation, according to the manufacturer.

The iPad Pro M2 is available in two versions; 11 inches, with an LED panel, and 12.9 inches, with a mini-LED panel that offers greater brightness. The tablet is also available in different colors (space gray and silver).

The 11-inch model is displayed at the starting price of € 1,069while the 12.9-inch model comes at a price € 1,469. Both will be available from October 26th. Pre-orders are open.

iPad 10

As the name suggests, the iPad 10 is the update of the iPad 9, released last year. One notices in particular an enlargement of the screen – from 10.2 to 10.9 inches -, but above all the disappearance of the central button. Touch ID remains in play, but is now on the device’s start button, like the iPad mini. Unlike the iPad Pro M2, it is equipped with an A14 Bionic chip, like the one found on the entry-level models of the iPhone 14.

We also note that the device is equipped witha USB-C port and no longer a Lightning port. It is therefore the latest model in the range to make the transition.

Available in 4 colors (blue, pink, silver and yellow), the iPad 10 will be available from 26 October at a starting price of € 589an increase of 200 € compared to the previous model.

Finally, Apple also unveiled a new Apple TV 4K for € 169.

Are these the latest product announcements from Apple for this year? Nothing is less safe. The tech giant is rumored to have plans to announce a new MacBook Pro before December 31st.
