A large number of women volunteer in the special military operation (SVO) zone and perform tasks there no worse than men. As the head of the Russian Ministry of Defense Sergei Shoigu said, this is a big surprise for him.
“I would like to say something about female volunteers. Today I met them there, at the training ground, they are preparing at the same time. They have already undergone training and have combat experience. These are doctors, medical workers. Girls from different places: from Tula, Yalta, Krasnodar and Siberia, from everywhere. And they, of course, surprise me by asking me the question: “We’ve been here for a long time. It’s time to send us there,” Shoigu said at a meeting with group commanders at the headquarters of the United Group of Russian Forces.
The minister added that he “asked those who are training women at these training grounds why they do not send them.”
“And they don’t send it because they [женщины- добровольцы] are already teaching those who must go. And those who do not have experience in providing first aid for injuries and self-help. And I will frankly say that it was a big surprise for me that a large number of women volunteer and perform tasks no worse than men,” noted the head of the Russian Ministry of Defense.
He conveyed his gratitude to everyone.
“I hope that with such people we have no other options but to win,” Shoigu concluded.
