family ended last Friday with a cliffhanger. Lars (Kürt Rogiers) got a bag pulled over the head and was kidnapped. Many viewers suspected his father Leon (Herbert Flack), but nothing could be further from the truth. The kidnapper is Koen Peyskens, a brand new character played by Sieg De Doncker.

For the familyviewers begins a week full of excitement and surprises. Next Thursday they will celebrate 30 years family with a special mid-season finale dedicated to the marriage of Lars and Véronique (Sandrine André). It is written in the stars that that wedding day will not be a bed of roses. Lars is kidnapped a few days before the wedding. By one Koen, as appears in Monday’s episode.
Koen Peyskens is a mysterious man. At first glance, he seems like the ideal son-in-law, but he has a dark side. The big question is why did he kidnap Lars? Who is Koen? And what is he up to with Lars? Viewers will receive an answer to these questions very quickly.

“Koen will stir up emotions,” says Sieg De Doncker about his character. “He’s going to be a serious nuisance, because Lars’ kidnapping is just a first move. His arrival will have the effect of a small tornado. When I read the screenplay, I immediately knew that this role suited me.” With the arrival of Koen and the kidnapping of Lars, the tone has been set in the run-up to Thursday’s mid-season finale.
Sieg De Doncker is part of a new generation of young characters, after several older characters were deleted. Gunther Levi (Peter), Martine Jockheere (Marie-Rose), Marianne Devriese (Evy), Ludo Hellinx (Patrick) and Hilde van Haesendonck (Jenny) were fired in recent months. are newcomers Aaron Blommaert (Raven), Alix Konadu (Kato), Maarten Cop (as the returned Jelle), Charlotte Sieben (as the returned Louise), Belinda Predictions (Samira) and now Sieg De Doncker.
