Thrissur: A woman who sought treatment at the Chavakkad taluk hospital gave birth in the hospital’s toilet. The woman came with her husband seeking treatment for abdominal pain. The woman came to the toilet after the doctor advised her to take a urine test for expert examination. She was giving birth there.
The woman and the baby were given the necessary first aid immediately. The woman and the baby were advised to go to the Thrissur Medical College for further tests, including whether the baby has an infection, but they went to another hospital in Chavakkad.
The woman says that she did not know that she was pregnant. Only after further examination and investigation will there be more clarity on this matter. Reportedly, there are no health problems for the woman and the child at present.
