Surprising bankruptcy for the San Francisco 49ers! In Week 6 of the NFL, the top team embarrassed itself against the Cleveland Browns.
The 49ers lost 17:19 to the Browns, who had to do without their star quarterback Deshaun Watson. But even without their playmaker, the team put up a tough fight against the favorites and, above all, stopped the otherwise strong offense.
In the second half, they allowed Brock Purdy and Co. just 21 yards and took a 19-17 lead thanks to a field goal by Dustin Hopkins with 1:40 minutes left.
Then head coach Kyle Shanahan’s team turned up the heat again and got within 23 yards of the opposing end zone. Jake Moody was supposed to avert the defeat there, but his shot flew just to the right of the field goal post.
49ers are worried about McCaffrey and Samuel
Doubly bitter: The team from California lost two star players during the game. Wide receiver Deebo Samuel had to leave the game in the first half due to a shoulder injury.
A little later Christian McCaffrey got hit. The running back was unable to continue playing due to a muscle injury. According to NFL insider Ian Rapoport, there is even a risk of a long-term failure.

The 49ers’ loss leaves the Philadelphia Eagles as the only undefeated team remaining. The Super Bowl finalist plays against the New York Jets in the evening.
Titans lost despite mega runs
The Tennessee Titans, on the other hand, are still not really getting going. In London the team lost 16:24 against the Baltimore Ravens and is still in the bottom third of the league.
The Titans’ first highlight from their star player Derrick Henry didn’t help either. The running back demonstrated all his skills at the beginning of the third quarter and let numerous defenders out. He was only stopped shortly before the opposing end zone. With a gain of 69 yards, he set a new record for the current season.

Titans benchen Tannehill
His young backup Tyjae Spears also demonstrated his qualities shortly before the end of the game. He caught a short pass and, thanks to numerous pre-blockers, gained yard after yard. As with Henry, however, it wasn’t enough for a touchdown.
A decision by Titans head coach Mike Vrabel also caused a stir. After Ryan Tannehill’s interception, he benched the quarterback and brought in Malik Willis for the remainder of the game. Last year’s third-round pick did a solid job. Four of his five passes arrived. With 74 pass yards, he also managed almost as many as Tannehill (76).
But even with the Baltimore Ravens not everything was harmonious after the victory. They fired heavily after the game against Kyle Hamilton’s sending off. The safety was sent off after a hit to the head by Chris Moore.
“I didn’t even know I was thrown out until someone from the defense said it,” Hamilton said after the game. This caused frustration for his head coach. “We have never seen anything like this,” raged John Harbaugh, as the decision was probably made by the video referee in New York, “no one on the field could explain the sending off to me.”
