Vasil Vassilev-Zueka returns to his native land, although only for a day. The reason – the actor-artist will open on March 17 an exhibition of his paintings in Varna, entitled “My Heroes”. Zueca will present 22 of his paintings.
“This is the first time we’ve emigrated since we emigrated. I’ve been painting theatricals because I’ve done several things in my life: theater, film and television. I’m just changing theatrical means with paint, with another artistic means to express the same idea. “My head is populated with many images. It’s just my imagination,” the artist told the media.
Zueka is currently in Britain with Vladi Aprilov, where they are presenting their play “We, the Bulgarians”. In early April, they will play in Chicago. Their sketches are mostly dedicated to the absurdities in the character of the Bulgarian nation, for which there is no rational explanation.
