The actor Deyan Donkov got into a fight on the stage of the National Theater, writes “Telegraph”. This happened during the performance “Orpheus” by Irinei Lorenzi, who last year won three “Icarus” statuettes – for the best performance, for the direction and the audience award.
The favorite injured one of his palms while playing the lead role of Orpheus. The incident happened shortly before the end of the intermission, and Dinkata most likely tripped on the set and fell, although he knew the stage and the location of the props in the performance very well.
Immediately after blood gushed from his hand, he was given medical assistance, and then the injured actor went home to his wife Radina Kardzhilova and their children. His colleague Vlado Penev went on stage to apologize to the audience that he will not be able to see the performance until the end because of his disability, those present told “Telegraph”. The next day, Deyan Donkov took sick leave until he recovers.
The “Ivan Vazov” National Theater also published a message on social networks for the viewers who feel aggrieved that they did not see the second part of the performance: “In connection with the canceled yesterday, 22.02, performance of the play “Orpheus” by Jernei Lorenzi we inform all those who purchased tickets: within the next 14 days, at the ticket office of the National Theater, you can revalidate the tickets you purchased for the next date on which the performance will be performed, or for another performance from the theater’s repertoire.
