Now this one is a very curious case and a story that has got Chelsea fans talking and debating, with some being annoyed, and others backing it.
Chelsea have seemingly froze out a number of players this summer who they have been looking to sell, namely Trevoh Chalobah being the most high profile and heavily debated player to have this done to him, clearly being forced out of the club.
The same thing has happened with Ben Chilwell as well, with the Blues left back being pushed out of the club. However, unlike Chalobah, the Chelsea vice-captain from last season has not found a club to join and will not be leaving to any of the late windows around the world that have still been open this week.
Chilwell back in the fold at Chelsea?
According to The TelegraphBen Chilwell is hoping to be included in Chelsea’s 25-man Premier League squad, with the left-back not expected to move on loan to Turkey.
Chelsea must submit their official Premier League squad today and Chilwell could be included.
Chalobah had trained away from the first team completely, like other players the club wanted to sell. But the same can not be fully said for Chilwell.
The report goes on to say that Chilwell has not been kept fully away from the first-team squad, as other players were. He has trained away from the first team when Maresca has a full squad of players, but has been brought back when there have been injuries or absences to help make up the numbers.
