Suri Cruise – The celebrity’s daughter has not seen her father in ten years

Lmeadows before she was born, in April 2006, was Suri Cruise (15) on «everyone’s lips». As the daughter of one of the hottest celebrity couples of the time, many were curious about what she looked like, who she was and whether she will follow in the star parents’ footsteps.

And now in hindsight we can see that she has become a faithful copy of her world-famous parents!

As the daughter of actors Katie Holmes (43) and Tom Cruise (59), she was hunted by paparazzi from the moment she was born, and mother Katie has done everything in her power to spare her daughter from being chased by photographers.

On her official Instagram account, however, she has shared private photos on the occasion of her daughter’s birthday and other milestones in life.

And when Suri turned 15, she shared a touching post and she did the same on Mother’s Day in 2021. Then she thanked for the motherhood, and for being Suri’s mother.

Wanted out of the Church of Scientology

Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise were married from 2006 to 2012. The wedding took place in Italy, and was a wedding under the auspices of the Church of Scientology – a faith Tom Cruise made Katie Holmes part of when the two began dating in 2005.

The sign that indicated that the marriage was doomed

It was precisely the Church of Scientology that was to be the couple Holmes / Cruise’s death. As the years went by, Katie Holmes felt increasingly caught up in the Scientology community – and feared for their daughter’s well-being.

In the summer of 2012, the divorce was a fact. After the break-up, Suri Cruise lost contact with his world-famous father, despite the fact that he was able to negotiate 10 days of monthly contact, and to this day the two have a strained relationship.

To the American magazine US Magazine Former Church of Scientology member Samantha Domingo said there is one particular reason Hollywood star Tom Cruise has not seen his 10-year-old daughter.

– He is not allowed to have a relationship with the daughter and see her, because she is no longer a member of the Church of Scientology, claimed Domingo in 2019, who himself broke with the faith in 2004.

Strong and independent

Although the paparazzi have calmed down greatly, compared to the first years of Suri’s life, she is constantly photographed in the cityscape of New York – and often with her mother Katie Holmes.

There is no doubt that the two have a very close relationship, and they are often observed arm in arm in the streets of New York.

In an interview with the American magazine InStyle in 2020, the “Dawson’s Creek” star opened up about the role of mother and daughter.

They forgot the Hollywood couples

– My biggest goal has been to raise her to become independent. Make sure she is one hundred percent herself, and strong, confident and capable. And to know just that. She has become very strong, and has always had a strong personality.

– He gets away with it

– We were persecuted a lot when she was little. I wanted her to be allowed outside, so I took her to the parks at six in the morning so no one could see us.
