Paracetamol is known as an analgesic (pain reliever) class of drugs to relieve mild pain. In fact, paracetamol is also effective for reducing fever.
“I recommend that it be consumed relatively freely at home is paracetamol. This drug alone has a fairly good safety range for both children and adults,” he said at the Indonesia Brain Awareness Week 2021 event as reported by Antara.
Paracetamol, which can also be useful as a fever reducer, can also be taken by COVID-19 patients to reduce discomfort.
Adults can take one to two tablets with a maximum of 4 doses of paracetamol for a total of eight 500 mg tablets in 24 hours and it is best to wait at least 4 hours between doses, according to the Public Health Service in Great Britain (NHS).
