sur-Isère – More than 30 million euros for the hospital

As part of the Ségur de la santé, the Romans-sur-Isère hospital will be able to make investments in its buildings.

As part of the Ségur de la Santé, the State will support the Drôme Nord Hospitals for a total amount of 30.4 million euros. This sum will allow the establishment to carry out its investment projects.

Rehabilitate the rooms

13 million euros are allocated for the humanization of the hospitalization services of medicine, surgery and follow-up care and rehabilitation of the main building of the Romans site. Built in 1980, this building has never been the subject of structural work and its old design no longer meets current standards in terms of reception and hospitalization. The operation primarily concerns the rehabilitation of the rooms with the installation of showers. It also provides for the development of a specific area for the medium-stay activity which will bring together a physiotherapy platform, a dining room and the family lounge. In addition, the installation of common cloakrooms on the ground floor will allow departments to keep storage rooms with a capacity increased to 30 beds per department. Finally, the technical upgrade of the body of the main building, including the replacement of dilapidated joinery, will contribute to improving the thermal comfort of patients via the insulation under the cladding and the insulation of the roof terraces with waterproofing complex.

Reorganization

All medical and SSR services will be brought together in this building. These operations also include work related to humanization and the extension of dialysis capacity (from 18 to 20 stations) as well as the development of the imaging department following the installation of the second scanner. They also provide for work related to the rehabilitation of the so-called “ex-SSR” building to rationalize the space dedicated to nursing teams in the main building.

The reflections around the articulation of the different phases of the operation have been validated pending. The operation will be integrated into the next real estate master plan annexed to the HDN establishment project (2022-2026) which will be finalized this November. Finally, still under Ségur, € 13.4 million will be dedicated to restoring the establishment’s financial capacities.
