Supreme Organizing Committee Honors Leaders and Scouts at 33rd Arab Scout Camp in Dubai

On Wednesday, the Supreme Organizing Committee of the 33rd Arab Scout Camp, whose activities are being held in the Al Marmoom area in Dubai, held a ceremony honoring elite leaders of the Scout Movement and Girl Guides in the country, sponsoring institutions, strategic partners, and the media participating in the camp.

The honoring ceremony was attended by Dr. Abdullah Al-Tariji, Chairman of the Arab Scout Committee, Dr. Salem Abdul Rahman Al Darmaki, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Scouts Association, Vice Chairman of the Arab Scout Committee, Chairman of the Supreme Organizing Committee of the Camp, and members of the Arab Scout Committee, and Abdul Rahman Rafie, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Scouts Association, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Commission. Dr. Salem Abdul Rahman Al Darmaki delivered a speech at the ceremony in which he welcomed the generous attendance at the scout camp hosted by the UAE, offering many thanks and gratitude to His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Chairman of the Executive Council, for his generous patronage of the camp and to His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Sports Council, for his kindness in opening the camp activities, noting that this indicates the support of the wise leadership of the UAE, led by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President of the UAE, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, may God protect him, for all youth and sports activities in the country.

Al Darmaki also extended his sincere thanks to the scouting leaders in the country who have supported and continue to support scouting work since its inception, noting that the honored leaders have had large and clear imprints in the development of UAE scouting work.

He also thanked the 19 participating Arab delegations, noting that the Arab Scout Camp is the largest regional scouting event in which scouts from all over the Arab world participate, and it has been held every two years since 1954.

Al-Darmaki added that the Supreme Organizing Committee took advantage of the presence of the Chairman and members of the Arab Scout Committee in the camp to participate in this honor that came to its people, stressing the insistence of the Supreme Organizing Committee of the 33rd Scout Camp to achieve all the desired goals of organizing it through multiple events, activities and programs.

He explained that what he saw from the young men and women participating in the camp and their interaction with all the activities accompanying the camp, whether they were workshops, lectures, field visits, or environmental activities, confirms that the camp will achieve all the goals for which it was established, especially since it is the first Arab Scout camp to witness the participation of 1,500 people.
