Supreme Court rejects bail plea of M. Sivashankar in Life Mission case: ED

New Delhi: Ex-Principal Secretary of the Chief Minister, who is in jail in the Life Mission case, M. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) said that Sivashankar did not have any serious ailments. ED stated in the Supreme Court that he was raising health issues only to get bail. Affidavit filed.

ED said that the medical report filed in the courts along with the bail application was prepared by the doctor without examining Sivashankar. It has been pointed out in the affidavit. Such a medical certificate was issued by the doctor while Sivashankar was in their custody. ED said that the doctor did not directly examine Sivashankar at that time. Deputy Director Prem Malik made this clear in an affidavit filed in the Supreme Court.

Shivashankar was earlier released on bail citing health problems. But after getting bail, he went to office till he retired. It is clear from this that he does not have any serious illness, the affidavit says. Sivashankar was scheduled to undergo surgery while in judicial custody. But Sivashankar refused this surgery. From this it is clear that he does not have any serious ailments, ED said. clarified.

Shivashankar is a highly influential person. His relationship with other government officials is under investigation. If Sivashankar is granted bail at this stage, the investigation will be hampered. Evidence can be tampered with by influencing witnesses. The affidavit also pointed out that the money obtained through crime may be used again for black money transactions. The ED’s affidavit came as the Supreme Court heard Shivashankar’s bail plea on Wednesday.
