jpnn.com, BRASILIA – A Supreme Court judge on Thursday (27/1) summoned Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro and ordered police to investigate the president for leaks of documents.

Bolsonaro has so far refused to testify in the investigation into the case.

Earlier, Judge Alexandre de Mores gave Bolsonaro 60 days to testify. Now, that time has passed.

Hakim Supreme Court also decided that the far-right political president should appear at police headquarters in Brasilia to answer questions.

The case against Bolsonaro is that the president leaked a secret police investigation into the hacking of Brazil’s highest electoral body, the Supreme Electoral Court (TSE), months before the 2018 presidential election.

Bolsonaro emerged as the winner in the presidential election.

Bolsonaro uses the information on his accounts on social media to argue that Brazil’s electronic voting system is vulnerable to tampering and fraud.

That argument has been dismissed by Brazil’s electoral bodies.
