According to media reports, while giving the verdict in the recruitment process of government jobs on Thursday, it said that once the recruitment process starts, changing the rules in it will be illegal. This decision was given by a bench of five judges led by Chief Justice DY Chandrachud. Said that the effect of change in recruitment process rules can be applicable only on upcoming recruitments. This should not affect the current or ongoing recruitment. The bench also included Justice Hrishikesh Roy, Justice PS Narasimha, Justice Pankaj Mithal and Justice Manoj Mishra.

Is linked to appointment in Rajasthan High Court. In which, after the job related written examination and interview, a rule was made to make appointments only on 75% qualifying marks. Due to which many candidates were deprived of getting jobs due to this new rule. The candidates said that once the process starts, the rules cannot be changed.
