Colombo: The Supreme Court of Sri Lanka has approved the proceedings against the former President of Sri Lanka Gotabaya Rajapaksa, Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa and others. The action builds on the case presented by the rights protection organization Transparency International for causing the worst economic crisis in the country in seven decades.
The organization also said the court gave permission to take action against the former finance minister and two central bank governors.
