Supreme Administrative Court Rejects Appeals against Mortada Mansour’s Return to Zamalek Presidency

Today, Sunday, the Supreme Administrative Court ruled to reject the appeals of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, and Mortada Mansour, against the latter’s return to the presidency of Zamalek again, and to uphold his removal from the presidency of Zamalek Club.

The State Cases Authority, on behalf of the Minister of Sports and the Directorate of Youth and Sports in Giza, had appealed against the dismissal of Mortada Mansour from the presidency of Zamalek.

Appeal No. 101181 of the year 69 BC was filed against the ruling issued by the Administrative Court in the cases filed by the respondents, Mustafa Sayed Abdel-Khaleq, Hani Shukry Najib Gerges, Abdullah George Abdel-Georg and Ibrahim Saeed Abdel-Ghani Amer.

And the Supreme Administrative Court had set the session for next June 19, to consider the appeal of Mortada Mansour, the dismissed president of Zamalek Club, against the ruling issued obliging Dr.

Mortada Mansour sued in his lawsuit the Minister of Youth and Sports, the Director of the Directorate of Youth and Sports in Giza, the President of the Egyptian Olympic Committee in their capacity, and the appellants of the case in which the administrative court ruling was issued, and they are Mamdouh Abbas, Hani Al-Attal and others.

Mortada Mansour requested a stay of the implementation of the Administrative Court ruling, and in reserve the ruling that the state court does not have jurisdiction to hear the case and obliging the respondents to pay expenses and attorney’s fees.
