Suppose US creates fake invoice for wedding guests who don’t show up

Couple Doug and Dedra Simmons got married in Jamaica last month. The two had invited 108 people to their special day, but eight people did not show up even though they had promised to come.

‘They just didn’t come’

“When we got back from the honeymoon they didn’t say anything,” Simmons told American media. The couple was disappointed that the friends had suddenly failed to show up and didn’t mince words.

“If they had informed us it would have been fine, but they just didn’t come.”

Therefore, the newlywed couple decided to teach the friends a lesson. The two made a fake invoice for 240 dollars (more than 200 euros) because of the ‘no show’ and placed it on social media.

Hundreds of comments

In no time at all, reactions started pouring in. The couple received acclaim from hundreds of strangers and the friends apologized. Some of them even wanted to pay for the costs. That was not necessary, the couple wrote back. “Let this be a lesson to you and don’t do that to others from now on.”
