A study by the Egyptian Center for Thought and Strategic Studies confirmed that the health sector file in Egypt has been a priority for the state since 2014. As it is one of the most visible files that affect on the Egyptian citizen in the first place, the state’s efforts were launched in two directions: These are: restoring the health infrastructure, and launching a package of urgent health reforms, which includes launching several health initiatives under the auspices of the President of the Republic.

The study identified the improvement of the reproductive health characteristics of the Egyptian family, as well as the reduction of population growth, and based on a well-thought-out plan for the different levels of reproduction in Egyptian governments and the level of girls’ education, such as the Egyptian. the state launched many targeted initiatives, the most prominent of which are as follows:

Our Better Days Campaign: The state launched a large number of family planning and reproductive health campaigns across the governments of the Republic as part of the “Our Better Days” campaign, to provide family planning services and methods to beneficiaries in small towns and poor areas. of these services.

“You have the right to organize a campaign”: within the campaign “Our Best Days” to provide family planning services and methods at the level of 9 governments, namely “Giza – Cairo – Kafr El- Sheikh – Dakahlia – Alexandria – Fayoum – Beni Suef – Minya – Assiut,” as well as targeting poor villages linked to the “Decent Life” initiative of the President of the Republic.

“Two Are Enough” Campaign: The campaign aims to raise women’s awareness of the concept of small families and develop family planning clinics linked to civil society organizations, as well as building the capacities of workers who work in the field of family planning at the level of the targeted governments and implementing local and national awareness campaigns to raise awareness of the population’s issue. The campaign is being implemented in 2,257 villages within 119 regions and centers in the ten targeted governorates, namely (Aswan – Luxor – Qena – Sohag – Assiut – Minya – Beni Suef – Fayoum – Giza – Beheira) , at a cost of up to 100 million pounds.

Family Planning Program Initiative: which aims to achieve comprehensive social development for families benefiting from the Takaful Program by raising awareness of the targeted families and developing family planning clinics at a cost of 1.14 billion pounds. Also providing family planning services and methods in cities and towns, especially remote and poor areas, as part of the “Decent Life” initiative of the President of the Republic to increase the levels of use of family planning methods increase and reduce population growth rates. Conducting medical research and disseminating family planning methods, especially long-acting methods, and free medicines through family planning specialists, women and obstetricians in fixed and mobile clinics, urban centres, general hospitals and middle, and maternity and child care centres. .

It is noted that the governments of Upper Egypt are particularly focused, where fertility rates are significantly higher than the governments of Lower Egypt, as well as focusing on small towns “Life is Dignified” campaign The President of the Republic and their interest in raising women’s awareness of population issues as well as providing safe family planning methods.
