Supporting the Creative Digital Industry in Indonesia, Tokocrypto Creates NFT Marketplace TokoMall

Jakarta, Selular.ID – Tokocrypto officially introduced a non-fungible token (NFT) marketplace platform called TokoMall. As a leading NFT marketplace in Indonesia, the presence of TokoMall is expected to encourage the development of the NFT market in Indonesia, and invite local creators to join in to introduce and monetize their work to a wider market, not only in Indonesia but also in global and foreign markets.

Chung Ying Lai, Chief Strategy Officer of Tokocrypto, explained that TokoMall presents the concept of digital meets reality, where the use of digital platforms and artwork in the form of NFT can be the answer to problems in the real world.

He thinks that by switching to NFT and making it mainstream, talented local Indonesian creators will not only be able to market their work to a wider market. However, it also ensures the uniqueness or rarity of his work as an added value that is offered to collectors.

“Creators can ensure the continuity of royalties from each NFT marketed. This could be the answer to the copyright and royalty issues that creators usually face when marketing in the real world.” said Chung Ying Lai.

Meanwhile, on the collector side, NFT marketed at TokoMall can be a long-term investment for collectors whose authenticity is guaranteed. Then, there is also an option for collectors to exchange the collected NFT for goods or original works from TokoMall’s exclusive merchant partner.

In this case, Faza Meonk, creator of Si Juki, said that the creative industry in Indonesia is growing because of digital technology that makes it easier for creators and collectors to access. But with blockchain and NFT, this can be a solution as a creator’s copyright protection because the work will be recorded clearly and transparently on the blockchain.

“This can also be an alternative for creators to get additional revenue streams and collectors can also appreciate creators by collecting this NFT,” explained Faza.

TokoMall is present as part of the development of the Toko Token (TKO) utility built on the Binance Smart Chain (BSC) network. TokoMall has several categorizations, namely Exclusive NFT which contains Original TKO, lifestyle TKO, creative TKO, Stars TKO and others.

Where each line collaborates with local Indonesian brands and creators as exclusive merchant partners such as Nevertoolavish, MaximallFootwear, DAMN! I Love Indonesia, Banyan Core, Si Juki, ONIC E-Sports, Afternoon, Mr. Kinur, Karya Karsa, Jakarta Metaverse, and Museum of Toys. Also presents a Marketplace category, where creators and general collectors can directly upload their NFT works.

Regarding the role of TKO in TokoMall, Chung Ying Lai explained that TKO will be the backbone of all activities on the TokoMall platform.

“Creators can mint and offer their works, while collectors can get the NFT by exchanging TKO according to the value listed in each work.” added Chung Ying Lai.

In addition to focusing on platform launches, TokoMall will also present the “Miss Crypto Indonesia” initiative, a campaign from TokoMall that offers various NFT merchandise from TKO Angels in the form of postcards, videos, and others. All funds collected from collectors in this campaign will be donated through TokoCare, Tokocrypto’s CSR program, in collaboration with Wecare.id.
