As of October 1 this year, Elias Ruissen (35) will join the Foundation Board of PEC Zwolle. Ruissen was nominated unanimously by the supporters’ associations of PEC Zwolle and will take over the board seat from Martin de Visser as of that date. This means that the Foundation Board will continue to consist of five people.
The Advisory Committee had the explicit wish to make a seat available within the Foundation Board for a representative of the supporters. That wish has now been granted. Ruissen works in the financial sector in daily life.
Meine Breemhaar on behalf of the Foundation Board: “It has been a wish of supporters for a long time to have a representative from them in the Foundation Board. A person who supports the club, knows it well and can represent the interests of our supporters and is therefore the voice of our supporters. Elias is no stranger within the club. He has been a supporter for years and was also unanimously nominated by supporters. I would like to welcome Elias and thank Martin for his efforts in recent years.”
Elias Ruissen: “As a resident of Zwolle and a supporter of PEC Zwolle, I feel a strong connection to the club. For years, I have been active behind the scenes in supporter-related matters, including as co-founder of PEC.nu, but I am no longer a part of it. Because I am a familiar face to many supporters and employees of PEC Zwolle, I can assess what is going on around the club. When the representatives of the Supporters Club and the Zwolsch Supporters Collectief approached me, I first thought carefully. As a supporter, you are used to comfortably giving your opinion from the sidelines, but in this new role I step forward and take responsibility. For this role, it is essential to have the trust of the supporters. The way in which both supporters’ associations want to fulfill this role fits in well with my own vision and profile.”
As of October 1, the PEC Zwolle Foundation Board will consist of the following persons: Meine Breemhaar, Frans van der Kolk, Martijn Hakstege, Jeroen Bijl and Elias Ruissen.
This is Elias Ruissen. He will join the Foundation Board as a representative of the supporters from 1 October and will take over the seat from Martin de Visser.
