MORELIA, Mich., February 25, 2023.- The Government of Michoacán, through the Welfare Secretariat (Sedebi), will launch in March the program for women with invasive breast and/or cervical cancer who are caregivers of minors.
According to a press release, the benefit grants monthly support of 4,000 pesos so that they can use it for transportation, lodging, and specialized food, so that they do not abandon cancer treatment for a maximum duration of three years.
The objective is to improve the quality of life of women from 18 to 64 years of age with invasive breast and/or cervical cancer, caregivers of children from zero to 17 years and 11 months, who reside in Michoacán.
To access the program, women must have the original Oncological Medical Certificate duly labeled, issued by the State Cancer Care Center (CEAO) or public health agency, as well as verifying that they are not a beneficiary of the IMSS or ISSSTE.
