“I rise today to speak about the importance of encouraging inclusion and equity in sport by showcasing women’s sports, and to commend the efforts of our northern neighbors who have promoted the inclusion and equity with the addition of an all-female division to the Tournoi international de Pee-Wee de Québec this year,” she said.

From February 8 to 19, the competition will host 120 teams, including an all-girls division, for the first time in its 62-year history.

Groups from Canada, the United States and Europe will be part of this event presented at the Videotron Center.

“We express our sympathy to the people and government of Canada for their long history of friendship and cooperation with the people and government of the United States,” concluded Ms. Scanlon.
