Imagine watching Formula 1 without passion, without emotion, without a unique voice that tells you behind-the-scenes stories and describes what’s happening on the track. Over the past nine years, we have learned to love Formula 1 not only for the fast single-seaters and the adrenaline we feel after the red lights go out, but also because of one person – Štev Eisele.
His voice was our guide, our teacher, our friend. Many of us can’t even imagine a competition weekend without it. We firmly believe that we will not lose him after this season, but “up there” must also know about this desire of ours. That’s why we decided to put together this challenge.
After the era of broadcasting the F1 grand prix on the Marquis, the baton was taken over by AMC, which since 2015 has been broadcasting live from the unit on its Sport1 and Sport2 stations for Slovakia and the Czech Republic at the same time. Spectators had Slovak and Czech soundtracks at their disposal, but as it turned out over time, even our Czech “brothers” started watching the races with Slovak commentary, or with commentary from popular duo EisKing. Many would say that this trace was “elsewhere”.
In recent years, it has really been seen that commenting on F1 broadcasts has become close to Štev’s heart. This love for motorsport forced him to devour one formula book after another to always supply us with inflated stories from the past. Also know that it is no coincidence that so many publications with a formulaic theme began to appear on the Slovak book market in this period. However, that was far from all.
Together with Pep Král, they created revolutionary debriefings that completely changed our experience of competition weekends. Whereas once upon a time the grand prize de facto ended with the checkered flag waving, debriefings extended it for hours.
We were impatiently waiting when Števo and Pepa would finally reveal to us their perspective on this or that situation on the track, zoom in on what we might have missed during the live broadcast, what technical gadget saw the light of day, but also put everything into context with behind-the-scenes details. EisKing’s popularity was confirmed by the EisKing Tour trips, when they were always literally dusted after the start of ticket sales.
In Slovakia, we were even able to see several single-seaters during this period. Let’s remember the trip of Red Bull, the single seat of Force India, David Coulthard and Stig on the EisKing Tour, or the cars of Aston Martin and Alfa Romeo even with Valtteri Bottas.
Today, everyone has to admit that no one has done as much for the formula community in Slovakia and the Czech Republic as the EisKing duo.

We know what we want
When we heard that Nova Sport would take over the Formula 1 broadcast, we felt apprehensive. Fear of losing something that is so dear to us. Števo Eisele is not just a commentator, he is the heart and soul of Formula 1 in Slovakia and the Czech Republic. His passion, expertise and love for the sport are unmistakable.
Štev’s commenting brought us not only information, but also much-needed emotions. His stories from the past, his collaboration with Pep Král, his contribution to the development of the formula community – all this proves that Števo Eisele is irreplaceable.
Nova Sport now has a unique opportunity. He has a chance to continue a tradition that has been alive for several years. It has a chance to retain loyal EisKing fans and gain new ones. But to achieve that, she needs Števo Eisele as much as we need him.
We, the fans of Formula 1, therefore ask you: Don’t take Števo Eisele from us. Give us a reason to change our prepaid packages with TV operators, tune in to Nova Sport and not switch to the competition in the form of F1 TV. Give us a reason to believe that Formula 1 in Slovakia and the Czech Republic has a bright future.

Nova Sport plans to provide us with more information during the winter. In order to avoid an unpleasant surprise, let’s let her know in time that we want to hear Števo Eisele while watching the F1 broadcasts.
Let’s show Nova Sport that Števo Eisele is more than just a commentator. It is the heart of Formula 1 in Slovakia and the Czech Republic. He is our voice, our friend, our hero. We want him to accompany us in the future as well.
