Support Cak Imin Candidate for President or Cawapres 2024

Jakarta

The Ijtima’ Ulama Nusantara was officially closed and resulted in a number of recommendations. Deputy Secretary of the PKB Syuro Council, Maman Imanulhaq, said one of the recommendations was to support PKB General Chair Muhaimin Iskandar or Cak Imin to advance as a presidential candidate (candidate) in 2024.

“There were important inputs from the participants, from Mr. Kiai and Mrs. Nyai, this was about the criteria for leadership in 2024, namely a matter of intelligence, a matter of trustworthiness, a matter of communication skills, especially one that we criticize is a matter of communication to the public which is more transparent, ” said Maman in a press conference at the Millennium Hotel, Central Jakarta, Saturday (14/1/2023).

“But we did not determine who, but more clearly the Ijtima Ulama mandated Gus Muhaimin to determine who and we continue to support Gus Muhaimin to remain a presidential or vice presidential candidate in the national leadership in 2024,” he continued.

Maman explained that it was also agreed that the Ijtima’ Ulama Nusantara would become a forum that accommodates all Kiai regarding politics in Indonesia. The participants of the Ijtima’ Ulama Nusantara will become national campaigners.

“Second, we will generate public revenues through the Kiayi, these Nyai mothers so that the most important decision is that all participants from the Ijtima Ulama Nusantara become national campaigners,” he said.

Maman said the next recommendation is to give full trust to Ketum PKB, Cak Iminto determine the direction of PKB in winning the 2024 elections. Another recommendation is that the clerics will oversee PKB programs and provide input and fight for the protection of children and women.

“This is a recommendation from the clerics, so that in this period after we succeeded yesterday in the previous period there was the Islamic Boarding School Law, the law regarding the welfare of mothers and children is a priority that we will complete in this period,” he said.

The Ijtima’ Ulama Nusantara previously opened on Friday (13/1). The opening was attended by Indonesian Vice President Ma’ruf Amin and Indonesian Manpower Minister Ida Fauziah.
