The government will support eco-friendly process improvement and equipment supply to 300 business sites in the industrial complex this year.
On the 7th, the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy announced that it would implement a’clean factory construction project in the industrial complex’ with a total budget of 20.3 billion won.
It is a project to support eco-friendly process improvement and facility supply to reduce four major pollutants, such as greenhouse gases, generated in the production process of small and medium-sized business sites in the industrial complex.
Last year, a budget of 3.1 billion won was invested to support 98 business sites, but this year, the business was greatly expanded.
The scope of support has been expanded from 7 smart green industrial complexes to all industrial complexes, and the average unit cost of support has also increased from 24 million won to 60 million won.
Accordingly, the selected workplaces receive an average of 60 million won and a maximum of 120 million won per company.
It also strengthens linkages with other businesses, such as first supporting workplaces supported by the Ministry of Industry’s smart energy platform business or the Ministry of SMEs’ smart factory business.
An official from the Ministry of Industry said, “The Clean Factory business is essential for the transition of small and medium-sized companies to carbon neutrality.”
