The Undersecretary of Transport of the Province Alejo Supply participated in the event. The city will receive more than 28,000 copies. Pilot BA, who interacted with students, also introduced himself.
In the framework of the presentation of the program “Fangio teaches you road safety”, carried out by the Subsecretariat of Transportation of the Province, the delivery of books with traffic education content was carried out. In total in Olavarra more than 28,000 copies will be delivered, for the different educational modalities.
In the delivery ceremony held on the afternoon of this Tuesday, in the courtyard of the Secondary School N 20 building, different directors and officials participated, including the director of the educational establishment Leonardo Cavallieri, the District Chief Julio Benitez, the undersecretary of transport of the Province of Buenos Aires Alejo Supply and the secondary level inspector Sandra Juarez.
Leonardo Cavallieri thanked the presence of students, teachers and other people and indicated that he was grateful “for being able to receive this material so important for the establishments”.
He also congratulated the different organizations involved in the program, since he believes that it is very important to “reverse a little of this problem that we have in terms of road safety.” Cavallieri addressed the students who participated in the event and pointed out that “if we want to think about a change for the future or for the present, you play a very important role.”
For his part, Julio Benitez, District Chief, added that it is an opportunity “to incorporate the issue of road safety as an educational content.” He also provided some comments regarding the local area, and described Olavarra as a “quite complex in road safety” district.
Sum that is a city “that has many accidents and deaths daily, and this is a learning that we must travel from many areas.” Then he explained that the books that will be delivered will be distributed by the director and he told the students present “I hope you will use them in the corresponding chairs, that you take advantage of them and that they will be useful to you.”
The next to speak was the undersecretary of transport Alejo Supply, who introduced himself as such to the boys and girls present at the event. Then he reminded them of the different measures to take into account when driving and pointed out that “the idea is that they interact with the book with Fangio.”
Supply also recalled the pilot and briefly told the students who this athlete was, “it was a person who spoke about road safety, an interesting way that the faster he walked, the more road safety he provided, so I just hope it helps them to think and study a little, “he pointed out.
Before the end of the event, the different managers made the delivery of books to the students. Then Pilot BA, a character created by the Provincial Directorate of Politics and Security Viahim, in order to promote good road behavior in the little ones. This character closed the meeting by recounting his private experience and talking to the boys about road safety.
After the event was over, Undersecretary Supply spoke with the media present and told that with this program “we are touring the entire province.” Regarding the material provided to the students, I stressed that it is a space “where they think about road safety.” In turn, he pointed out that it is a program of “4.5 million books throughout the Province.” He admitted feeling “very happy” for the reception of the boys.
Regarding the road safety indicators of the Province of Buenos Aires, he acknowledged finding problems “on national routes” and that “within the municipalities there is an important problem,” he added. In that sense, he stressed that joint work is important, “from the Province providing tools.”
