Free sugar will be dispensed to ration outlets through the stores of the two wholesale companies (general – Egyptian) affiliated with the Holding Company for Food Industries, and the ration outlets, which number 40,000 outlets between (consumer complexes, my association project, and Dali rations) will do their part to dispense to citizens with ration cards in quantities estimated at With 30 thousand tons of free sugar per month, in addition to approximately 65 thousand tons of supply sugar.
The Minister directed the supervisory agencies, including the supply directorates in the governorates, in cooperation with the Supply Investigation Department and the Consumer Protection Agency, to follow up and inspect and ensure full compliance with the controls and control mechanisms and procedures for pumping quantities of sugar into the markets, following up on invoices and packaging companies, writing the price, and adhering to the prescribed weights.
Ahmed Kamal, Assistant Minister and Official Spokesman, said that free sugar will continue to be pumped, provided, and made available in all channels, chains, and distribution and circulation rings to cover all purposes and activities (industrial, packing plant lines, commercial chains, makers, showrooms, and consumer complexes), so that the daily pumping rates reach between 8 thousand tons to 10 thousand tons of sugar daily, which the Ministry of Supply, represented by the Holding Company for Food Industries, meets these needs in all governorates.
