Ciudad Acuña, Coah.- Governor Miguel Ángel Riquelme Solís highlighted the level of competitiveness that prevails in Coahuila thanks to its strategic geographic location, infrastructure development, qualified workforce and security, which contribute to national and international investment in the entity .
On a working tour of the Municipality of Acuña, Riquelme Solís supervised various sections of the modernization of the Santa Eulalia Highway, in its second stage, with the goal of paving 34,786 square meters, a work agreed through the Payroll Tax ( ISN).
“Today we Coahuila are showing signs of unity and competitiveness,” said Riquelme Solís, noting that work does not stop at the entity in all areas of government.
LAYING THE FIRST STONE COMPANY FRS
In his work tour of the municipality, Miguel Riquelme witnessed the laying of the first stone of Fluid Routing Solutions, a subsidiary of the Park Ohio corporate, where 16 million dollars are invested and will generate 500 new jobs, in addition to the 1,100 existing .
The Governor stressed that the geographic location of the entity encourages many companies to turn to Coahuila to invest and create jobs, for which he thanked the participation of the business sector to continue promoting economic development even within the health contingency.
The state leader stated: “The conditions that allow them to guarantee competitiveness, infrastructure development, security and qualified labor are fostered.”
In his speech, Jim Weidenbach, president of the Fuel Division Group, stated that the company believes in the workforce of Mexico and Coahuila, so this is a great day for them.
Jaime Chapa, Mexico Operations Director, thanked the State Government for its support to develop this investment of 16 million dollars, and highlighted the geographical location of Acuña for direct connection with international markets, as well as the high productive capacity of the Coahuila workers.
“We are proud to contribute to the social development and economic growth of Coahuila,” he said, recognizing the economic promotion and highway plans, as well as the Governor’s handling of the health contingency and security strategies, key criteria taken into account by the companies.
For his part, Praxedis Oyervides, General Manager of Fuel Division Mexico, highlighted that the international company invests in the best state, with the correct geographical location and is emerging as one of the largest in Latin America.
The first stone-laying ceremony was attended by the Municipal President of Acuña, Roberto de los Santos Vázquez; Jaime Guerra Pérez, Secretary of State for the Economy; the Secretary of Labor of Coahuila, Nazira Zogby Castro; Alma Reyes, Manager of Plant 2, and Claudio Ramón, president of Amistad Desarrollo Global de Acuña.
RECOVERED OWENS & MINOR COMPANY
Subsequently, Governor Miguel Riquelme concluded activities in Acuña with a tour of the Owens & Minor company, where the company, through the “Saving Lives” program, donated 35,000 masks and 10,500 gowns to agencies of the Health Sector of Coahuila for medical and nursing staff.
