LeBron James’ false ambition is punished badly

The Los Angeles Lakers will probably have to fight for the NBA playoffs in the coming weeks without their superstar LeBron James. The 38-year-old injured his foot against the Dallas Mavericks but continued to play. This apparently has serious consequences for James.

The NBA superstar LeBron James is apparently threatened with a break of several weeks because of his foot injury. This is reported by “The Athletic” and ESPN. If the fears are confirmed, the 38-year-old would miss the Los Angeles Lakers in the hot phase of the main round and thus in the race for a play-off spot. James injured his right foot in the spectacular comeback win at the Dallas Mavericks (111:108) late in the third quarter on Sunday.

“I heard a pop,” the four-time NBA champion said to his peers, but continued playing. After the game, James limped through the catacombs, visibly battered. He initially continued playing because the game was too important in the fight for playoff participation, as James explained afterwards. He posted a picture of his right foot, which is bandaged, on Instagram on Tuesday night. He wrote a curse and added an angry and two sad emojis.

The Lakers have only announced that James will miss Tuesday’s game with the Memphis Grizzlies. James, who has an average of 29.5 points, 8.4 rebounds and 6.9 assists this season, was last out due to a problem with his left foot. The Lakers are 12th in the Western Conference (29 wins, 32 losses) and are under pressure in the fight for the playoffs. The record champion must be at least tenth in order to be able to take part in the championship round. Should James be absent for a longer period of time, this could be difficult. The final game of the regular season takes place on April 9th.

Meanwhile, the two internationals Franz and Moritz Wagner have won the next game with the Orlando Magic. Franz Wagner had his team’s most playing time at 101-93 with the New Orleans Pelicans, but struggled with his shooting percentage and scored 11 points. His brother Moritz recorded 14 points. Orlando remains unchanged in 13th place in the Eastern Conference. Isaiah Hartenstein and his New York Knicks are currently unstoppable. With the 109:94 win against the Boston Celtics, the Knicks celebrated their sixth win in a row and consolidated fifth place in the East. Superstar Jason Tatum only had 14 points with the Celtics, the 24-year-old only hit one of his nine three-point attempts. Boston is second behind the Milwaukee Bucks.
