Today, Mari did something she thought was very scary, and very close: Singing a very personal song in Jærsk when the Stjernekampen participants were challenged to sing in Norwegian.
– You sing ridiculously well, concluded NRK’s regular Stjernekamp visitor Christine Danke.
But still: The feedback was not as effusive this Saturday as last Saturday, when the judges used words like “supernatural” and “magical” about the 19-year-old Bryne girl’s performance on stage.

– It’s a banker’s, very nice. It fits well. You have a complete overview, said Kristian Kristensen, who nevertheless thought it would be interesting to see a little more grit from Mari in the future.
Christine Danke was into a bit of the same thing.
– How are you not yet 20 years old and singing like that? It’s almost incomprehensible, said Danke, who thought that Mari had set the list high by choosing such a desperate song.
– I see that you live in it and fill the song with your story. But it’s not quite where the song originally is, said Danke, who stated that you can’t quite expect that either.
Mari Bella said that it had been a strong experience to sing in Jærsk.
– It will be extremely close. Everything becomes so bare. I find that difficult, said Mari.
And the NRK audience decided that it is Melis who had to go home, and that Mari is one of the artists who gets to join when the Stjernekamp participants go to see opera next week. Mari Bella is looking forward to trying it out.
