Dozens of supermoto bikers through the Kelapa Gading-Pulo Gebang Toll Road, Jakarta. In fact, according to vehicle rules two wheels are prohibited from crossing the toll road.
Dirlantas Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Pol Sambodo Purnomo Yogo said the government had made a rule regarding the prohibition of motorcycles from entering toll lanes. The regulation is contained in Government Regulation Number 15 of 2015 article 38 paragraph 1.
“It is written there that the toll road is intended for motorists who use four or more wheeled motorized vehicles,” said Sambodo in his statement, Monday (28/2/2022).
In addition, the regulation is also contained in PP No. 44 of 2009 in Article 38 paragraph 1a. Where on toll roads can be equipped with special toll road lanes for two-wheeled motorized vehicles which are physically separated from toll road lanes designated for motorized vehicles of four or more wheels.
But keep in mind, there are no special toll road lanes for two-wheeled vehicles on the Kelapa Gading-Pulogebang Toll Road section, nor on toll roads in Jabodetabek.
Sambodo said that every toll road will be installed with a no sign for motorbikes to enter to the toll road. He said if entering the toll lane, the driver was considered to have violated traffic signs.
“Usually at the end of the toll road there is a sign that motorbikes are prohibited from entering. That’s why the violation is a sign,” he said.
Traffic sign violations are stated in Article 287 paragraph 1 of the Traffic Law. Perpetrators will be fined a maximum of IDR 500 thousand or sentenced to a maximum of two months.
Regarding the supermoto group entering the toll road, Kombes Sambodo said his party would track down the bikers. Sambodo said that his party would take firm action against the bikers.
“We will definitely take action,” said Sambodo.

In the viral video, dozens of motorbikes can be seen crossing the toll road. The incident is said to have occurred on the Kelapa Gading-Pulogebang toll road section on Saturday (26/2) early in the morning.
