The American supermodel of Palestinian descent Bella Hadid has accused Instagram (a social network belonging to the target company) to limit his account’s exposure in the wake of stories the celebrity attempted to publish about the violence that erupted last Friday during clashes between Israeli police and Palestinian worshipers near the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem.
“Instagram has prevented me from publishing my stories, almost always when it comes to Palestine, I guess,” lamented the model. “When I publish about Palestine, immediately, they put me under the influence of shadowbanSo almost a million fewer of you see my stories and posts,” Hadid told her 51 million followers.
The shadowban it is a restriction that the platform activates so that the publications of some users do not have full visibility, that is, so that their posts appear less to followers and hashtags become undetectable, so these accounts show a noticeable loss of exposure and struggle to gain new followers.
“It won’t let me post again… for 2 hours,” the model commented on a screenshot showing how she failed to post one of her recent stories.
Hadid also pointed out that they did not let her upload two posts “very important” that he had tried to repost from the Eye On Palestine account.
