Season 1 of The Dark Pictures Anthology has been over for a while now since the last game, The Devil in Me, was released in 2022. It followed three other titles, Man of Medan, Little Hope and House of Ashes which all offered us horror experiences ranging from slasher to fantasy stories where spirits haunted the places. Varied stories that all had one thing in common: that of offering a narrative gaming experience where the player’s choices decide the fate of the protagonists.
A concept which is therefore close to that of the interactive film and which is proving to be increasingly mastered by the teams of Supermassive Games who do not weaken since in the meantime we had the opportunity to discover The Quarry or very soon The Casting of Frank Stones. In short, despite their busy schedule, They returned to the forefront tonight with a video of the first game in Season 2 of The Dark Pictures Enthology, Directive 8020. This time, the events will take place in space, and more precisely in a ship where there is an alien organism capable of mimicry, that is to say capable of taking the form of any member of the crew. A characteristic that risks being the cause of many problems and that could push us to make bad choices. Because once again, the game from Supermassive Games will impose choices on us that will have consequences.
